From the Cathayan perspective, being shaped by the presence of the dragon emperor and his family, it makes perfect sense to be more in favor of the mighty murder lizards that eat the invaders than the gods who are most closely related to said invasion attempts. What I like about it is that whatever is built won't hamper the attackers like a lone tower racking up kills simply because they're scurrying through a supposedly safe route.Ĭlick to shrink. It's a bit hard to tell how much of this is from the writers and how much of this is from standard faction lore not focusing on the details of other factions.

What is also incredible detail to notice is the supply system for defenses. Yet, they wanted to save the minor improved details for people to find out, such as better attack options.Įverything about this is an incredible positive in my eyes. Now it could be that they heard the backlash in a previous video and dedicated one to highlighting the parts a sizeable chunk of the community wanted to improve, such as city layouts and distinguishable features among the fighting. It would be rather distasteful that the only positive from the rework, for the attackers, is more flanking routes and fewer towers with large capture radii.

I mean, they said they reworked sieges for both the attacker and the defender. A majority of the details make me happy however, what truly concerns me is that the video is focused on the side of the defender. I'm excited to find out. Finally, something on the sieges. My main curiosities are what we'll get for Cathay's Sixth or even Seventh (maybe Eight by the end of the series) LL.

I could also see this character spearheading a naval invasion of Lustria or the Southlands to give Cathay a start outside of their homeland. I'll also restate my desire to see a Cathayan Vampirate character and that my dream for the Eastern (ie water) Sibling is that they control Cathay's navy, and would face off against a Ching-Shih inspired Vampirate in a DLC-for-DLC lord-pack. IE like how Miao Ying guards the North against Chaos and Zhao Ming seems to guard the West against Ogres & more Chaos, I could see the Southern Sibling's role to not be defending from whatever CA chooses to put in Ind or Khuresh, as I had guessed, but perhaps to combat the forces of the Monkey King and likely his Skaven allies. This association with Cathay's south makes me wonder then if the Monkey King is to be a DLC character for Cathay, that the Southern Sibling might be the FLC alongside that DLC - so Cathay v.
